Finishing the First Round of Chemo

Beth has officially completed her first round of chemotherapy
And whether we could admit it to ourselves or not, we were all a little scared. We did not know how her body was going to react during the initial days of treatment
What we did know, however, is HOW Beth would mentally face the chemo.  Bravely, of course.  As always with our Peachy.
With her dad and her sister steadfastly by her side, she braved the ‘Red Devil’ (which rather appropriately was actually not red, but a peach colour!)
While she grew a bit more exhausted with each day that passed, her spirits were constantly high.  And we can happily (and thankfully) report that she did not have any adverse reactions to the chemo.
Throughout her stay at Mount Sinai, she welcomed her parade of visitors with a smile.  And if she grew too tired and had to close her eyes, she made a point of apologizing for not being the consummate hostess.  Ahhhh that’s our Peachy…
She checks out of the hospital this afternoon and heads back to Windsor to no doubt envelope her boys with many hugs and kisses!
